A surreal eeriness exists in these tales of travelers passing along their ways, in the darkness, in transit, hoping for safe passage through unknown territory. Jane Draycott is the author of No Theatre, shortlisted for the Forward Prize for Best First Collection; Prince Rupert's Drop, shortlisted for the Forward Prize; and Tideway. She is currently the poet in residence at Henley's River and Rowing Museum.
